Nutrix, a Swiss medical technology startup that is a portfolio company of the Carlson ASI EVIG Alpha fund, has made it to the finals of a competition organised by Plug and Play and Colgate-Palmolive in Las Vegas. The final live presentations, will take place on January 6, 2022 at CES in Las Vegas. The grand prize is $20,000. Additionally, the winning project will be guaranteed entry into the Plug and Play Brand&Retail accelerator programme and the opportunity to collaborate on a joint project with Colgate-Palmolive.

– In October 2021, Nutrix joined the group of portfolio companies of our fund. Only two months have passed and we can boast about the success of our portfolio company. Getting to the finals of the Colgate Connect Challenge is a great opportunity for Nutrix to present its solution to the international expert community, investors and media. Nutrix is a Swiss medical technology startup that focuses on developing software and artificial intelligence algorithms that help monitor glucose present in saliva and treating diabetes. The startup’s overarching goal is to use the full potential of artificial intelligence to give patients the ability to monitor their health in an easy, non-invasive
and painless way.

– Participation in the competition organized by Plug and Play and Colgate-Palmolive is a great honor for us and motivation to further develop the project, which aims to provide people with diabetes the opportunity to function normally in everyday life. Nutrix is currently part of the Seed Programme with Startup Chile, where it plans to launch the gSense ecosystem by the end of 2021 to help patients with type 2 diabetes change their habits and lead healthier lives.

In October 2021, the Carlson ASI EVIG ALFA fund invested PLN 1 million in the Nutrix project.
The money raised from the fund will help Nutrix develop artificial intelligence software and algorithms to help monitor glucose present in saliva and treat diabetes.
