Nutrix, a Swiss medical technology startup that is a portfolio company of the Carlson ASI EVIG Alpha fund, has made it to the finals of a competition organised by Plug and Play and Colgate-Palmolive in Las Vegas. The final live presentations, will take place on January 6, 2022 at CES in Las Vegas. The grand prize is $20,000. Additionally, the winning project will be guaranteed entry into the Plug and Play Brand&Retail accelerator programme and the opportunity to collaborate on a joint project with Colgate-Palmolive.

Getting to the finals of the Colgate Connect Challenge is a great opportunity for Nutrix to present its solution to the international expert community, investors and media. Nutrix is currently part of the Seed Programme with Startup Chile, where it plans to launch the gSense ecosystem by the end of 2021 to help patients with type 2 diabetes change their habits and lead healthier lives.
In October 2021, the Carlson ASI EVIG ALFA fund invested PLN 1 million in the Nutrix project.
The money raised from the fund will help Nutrix develop artificial intelligence software and algorithms to help monitor glucose present in saliva and treat diabetes.
